About Me

I have been qualified as a counsellor/psychotherapist since 1987 and have worked both in private practice and as senior counsellor for the YMCA for six years. I am also a qualified clinical supervisor and have worked with counselling trainees, qualified therapists and and as a supervisor for ELOP (East London OUT Project) for ten years. I am an accredited member of the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners, which gives me my UKCP registration as a psychotherapist, as well as a C.A.T. (Cognitive Analytic Therapy) trainer, supervisor and practitioner and have been a member of the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy since its inauguration. I am in addition an associate of Pink Therapy Services, which provides training opportunties for professionals, wishing to develop their skills in working with sexual minorities as well as offering a therapy referral service. I was formerly a senior lecturer in a univesity-based therapeutic counselling training for fourteen years before retiring from that post in 2008.
